Direct Flights Russia to Thailand 2026: 22.5% Fewer in Q4

Direct flights from Russia to Thailand in Q4 2026 are scheduled at a lower level: 22.5% fewer than in the same period of 2025. That's no reason to change your plans. It just means tickets, dates and property viewings are worth sorting out a little earlier than usual.
Why there are fewer direct flights from Russia to Thailand in 2026
Thienprasit Chaiyapatranun, president of the Thai Hotels Association, says airlines may have shifted some of their capacity to other Asian routes because of high fuel costs and the aftermath of flooding in several regions.
The bigger picture matters too:
total international flights to Thailand are set to grow by 5.8% by the end of the year;
the top five markets for the kingdom by number of flights are China (+21.6%), Malaysia (+1.9%), India (-4.6%), Russia (-22.5%) and Korea (-20.5%);
Russia remains in that top five, still one of Thailand's key markets.

How to plan your winter stay or move
Fewer direct flights mostly affect your ticket options and how flexible your dates can be. A few practical steps:
Book early. With fewer direct flights, convenient dates sell out faster, especially around the holidays.
Consider connecting flights. Routes via Asian hubs are often a solid alternative on both price and schedule.
