Rugby School Thailand in Pattaya: school and family life

For families with children, quality of life in Pattaya is increasingly defined not only by climate and infrastructure, but also by access to high quality international education. This factor played a decisive role in our own decision to settle here. For several years, our children have been studying at Rugby School Thailand, one of the most respected international schools in the region, located close to Pattaya.

Rugby School Thailand is an official overseas campus of the historic UK based Rugby School, founded in the sixteenth century. The school follows the British education system and offers programmes from junior levels through to senior school, preparing students for international examinations and entry into leading universities in the UK, Europe, the United States and Asia. All teaching is delivered in English, with a strong academic framework complemented by sport, leadership development and independent thinking.

The school campus is a secure, purpose built environment featuring modern classrooms, science laboratories, a library, extensive sports facilities, swimming pools and boarding houses for senior students. For our family, the value lies not only in academic outcomes, but also in the environment where children learn responsibility, discipline and how to thrive in a truly international community.

School choice naturally influences residential decisions. Many families whose children attend Rugby School Thailand choose to live in East Pattaya, an area known for its greener surroundings, reduced tourist traffic and convenient access to international schools. East Pattaya has increasingly become a family focused residential zone for those considering Pattaya as a long term place to live rather than a short stay destination.
